PESHAWAR: The head of Taliban negotiating team, Maulana Samiul Haq has called for the government and Taliban to observe restraint over the issue of extension in the ceasefire, ARY News reported on Thursday.

In a statement the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Sami) commenting on the Taliban decision of refusing extension in truce, said the two sides should observe restraint and demonstrate magnanimity in the process of talks as delays, disagreements and complaints are routine feature of the process.

He said, it is good thing that Taliban have left the door of talks open. He vowed to step up efforts to avoid worsening of the situation.

He called the government to focus on the critical issue of the dialogue and offer attention to the demands of Taliban.
