Jang Group newspapers, GEO TV banned at Pak Army offices

RAWALPINDI: A ban has been imposed on Jang group newspapers – including Daily Jang and The News – along with screening of Geo News at all Pakistan Army offices with immediate effect, credible sources confided to ARY News.

Sources told there will be a blanket ban on Jang Group newspapers and screening of Geo News at all Pak Army offices, mess and units.

According to sources, the decision is taken in view of the propaganda hatched by GEO and Jang group to malign Pakistan Army and prime intelligence agency of Pakistan, Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).

It is widely believed that Jang Group and its owner Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman have been connived in maligning prestigious national institutions of the country.

Senior news anchor Mubashir Luqman said Jang Group owner Mir Shajkeel ur Rehman and his organizations owed huge outstanding dues to National Bank and other institutions.
