MITHI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has said that all possible facilities will be provided to patients in drought-hit areas of Tharparkar district, ARY News reported on Friday.

Zardari, who reached in a helicopter in Mithi, was talking during his visit of a hospital in drought-hit region. He was accompanied by Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

In his hospital visit Zardari inquired about the health of the patients. Around 140 patients including 36 children, have been admitted at the hospital.

Zardari said that all possible facilities will be provided to the patients. He said the provincial government will ensure that no person die due to the scarcity of food.

The local officials, later, briefed the former president about drought relief work at Circuit House Mithi.

Former president directed the officials to ensure supply of wheat and relief goods in far-flung areas of the desert region.

Stringent security measures were taken in Mithi during visit of the former president.
