Two PTI workers shot dead, suspects get interim bail

According to details, clashes broke out between the PTI and PML-N activists during the campaigning for the Local Bodies Elections in Lahore.

According to details, PML-N workers Malik Phuppa, Allah Datta and several other party activists opened fire at the PTI workers due to which two brothers identified as Arif and Khurram Shehzad were killed and several others were injured.

Their funeral prayers were offered at Yakki Gate. PTI leaders Shafqat Mehmood, Umar Cheema, Aleem Khan, Aijaz Chaudhry, Mehmood-ur-Rasheed along with Jamaat-e-Islami’s Liaquat Baloch and Fareed Paracha were also present in the last rites.

Suspects get interim bail till Nov. 1

The two suspects said to be involved in the firing incident were released by an anti-terrorism court.

According to details, the suspects named Chaudhry Zahid and Ahmad Rasheed, said to be involved in the shooting, were brought before an anti-terrorism court.

They stated in the petition that the accusations of stopping the electioneering were false on which the court granted them interim bail till the first of November.
