The rangers on an intelligence report about presence of criminals in the locality, launched a search operation after sealing all entry and exit points of the area. The road leading from Hassan Square to Liaquatabad, was also closed during the search operation.
In a house to house search the law enforcement personnel detained 30 suspects from the locality. A large quantity of illegal weapons and drugs were captured from the suspects.
The hideouts of criminals were also demolished in the operation. The arrested suspects were transferred to an undisclosed place for interrogation.
Rangers women personnel were also involved in the search operation which also extended to Essa Nagri.
All roads were opened after the search operation was completed in four hours.
Director General Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar had in a recent statement directed for stepping up the operation in the city.
