Mr. Alam was attacked by gunmen outside Shikhupura stadium on Saturday night.
According to details, the former Olympian was aboard his vehicle when four gunmen riding two motorbikes tried to intercept him. However the driver didn’t stop the vehicle, prompting attackers to open fire.
The gunmen finally got to the car near and pulled out Alam’s son and his close relative and thrashed them brutally.
Police have arrested four suspects in this connection and began investigation. The case has also been registered.
