Panama leaks: Opposition parties to finalise terms of reference today

According to details, the meeting will be held at the Parliament House and will be presided over by the incumbent Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Shah. The PTI and JI have also finalised the code of conduct as well. Opposition parties will discuss and consult each other regarding the terms of reference of the judicial commission which will probe Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regarding the Panama leaks controversy.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan had said that his party had finalised the terms of reference and they would take all opposition parties into confidence regarding the code of conduct. Opposition parties, mainly the PTI and PPP have called for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign in light of the disclosures of the Panama papers. PPP representative Qamar Zaman Kaira also said if the government did not agree to the demands of the opposition, then opposition parties would protest.

PTI chief Imran Khan had held a large public gathering yesterday at the Chairing Cross in Lahore and called for PM Nawaz to step down. Imran had also said that Nawaz had lost all moral authority to run the country. The PTI chief also warned the government that in case they rejected the demands of the opposition parties, they would be faced with protests. Imran had also urged his protesters to prepare themselves for a protest since he could issue the call for a dharna movement outside Raiwind House anytime.

JI, MQM, PPP, PML-Q and other opposition parties are going to attend the meeting today.
