Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet US President Barack Obama in White House on Thursday (tomorrow).

Addressing Pakistani community in Washington, Nawaz Sharif said that the network of terrorists has been destroyed in the country. He said his government has determined to overcome the menace of terrorism which will be uprooted soon.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that the government is giving full attention to the development of the country.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has offered many sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the government is committed to root out terrorism from the country.

He said the armed forces are writing a new episode of the history in their great mission and the entire nation stands behind their forces.

The prime minister said that the national action plan against counter-terrorism is successfully achieving its targets. He said Karachi, Balochistan and FATA have been changed.

Sharif while talking on power crisis in the country said that 3600 megawatt electricity will be added in the national grid by 2017 to overcome the energy crisis. He said transparency remain top priority in the energy projects.

Nawaz Sharif said during his tenure budget deficit has been reduced to 5.3 from 8.8 and the stock market is improving.

He said Pakistan and China are constructing Gwadar port together while the government has also signed agreement with Russia for gas pipeline project.

He said international institutions are acknowledging government’s steps for the revival of the economy.

Earlier, when the Prime Minister arrived in Washington, a smartly turned out contingent of the US armed forces presented a guard of honour to him.
