LHC reserves verdict on road block petition

The CCPO Lahore submitted a security plan to the court when it resumed hearing of Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PAT) petition about road blockades and barriers in the city.

The counsel of the petitioner informed the bench that from yesterday seven innocent persons have been martyred, all petrol pumps of the city have been closed and for carrying patients to hospitals, vehicles are not available.

The counsel further said that the mediapersons are being prevented from performing their professional duty and cameras of several television channels have been shattered.

The court directed the officials to perform their duty for security and checking but allow people to move to their homes. The court also urged for protection of the life, property and honour of general public.

The court reserved its verdict over the petition about road blocks in Lahore.
