The PTI delegation was led by Shah Mehmood Qureshi. They discussed the rigging issue with the chief election commissioner.
After the meeting, Qureshi told the media that there was now a need to change all four members of the election commission.
He apprised the CEC of their reservations. “It will be challenge for the CEC to restore dignity of the post,” he opined. The impartiality of election commission is the key foundation of holding transparent elections, he added.
He was of the view that responsibilities of the election commission had now increased.
