The court has extended his remand to NAB officials for the sixth times, ARY News reported.

One of the main accused in the mega corruption scandal was presented before the accountability court today amid tight security after the expiry of his previous remand.

A large number of Langove’s supporters and well-wishers welcomed him outside the court.

“I have only one account and that too in the Balochistan Assembly. Besides that I do not have any asset in my name,” said Langove while giving his statement in the case hearing during which the NAB officials requested the court to extend his remand.

Earlier, he was given to the custody of NAB officials on July 14.

Following the arrest of former finance secretary in Balochistan Mushtaq Raisani in the month of May this year and the recovery of huge amount of embezzled money, Khalid Langove offered resignation from his post.

He maintained that since his department was facing grave allegations of corruption and foul play, he was morally not allowed to enjoy the position of Balochistan Finance Adviser.
