Court grants 10 days’ remand of former I.G. K-P

PESHAWAR: A local court granted 10 days' physical remand of former I.G. Police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwah Malik Naveed to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), on Monday, ARY News reports. 

Malik Naveed has been alleged of having role in staggering Rs. 1.82 billion arms scam. 

Barrister Zahoor Ahmed, the counsel of the former I.G. Police, in his arguments before the court pleaded for release of his client. He said investigation of the case has been completed and further detention of his client was unjustified.

Government prosecutor pleaded to the court for further 15 days remand but the court granted 10 days remand to NAB for further investigation.
