Ceasefire extension possible if Taliban's reservations addressed: Professor Ibrahim

KARACHI: Member of Taliban-nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim has said that an extension in the ceasefire is possible if Taliban's reservations on the release of prisoners are addressed, whereas the Government of Pakistan has been informed about the concerns – ARY News reports.

According to details, Professor Ibrahim told that Taliban have reservations over the release of prisoners and an extension in ceasefire is possible, if these concerns are addressed. He told that the Government of Pakistan has been informed about Taliban's reservations.

Ibrahim expressed his determination to strive for the purpose of getting Taliban agreed upon extending truce with the Government and said that despite of end of ceasefire period, talks should be continued.

The member of Taliban committee said that the ones criticizing on negotiations, are acting in a way as an obstacle in the release of Shahbaz Taseer and Haider Gillani.

Moreover, sources have told that a meeting of Government and Taliban committees is expected on Saturday.
