KARACHI: A candle-lit vigil held outside Karachi Press Club for the victims of Jhatpat Market attack in Lyari on March 12, ARY News reported.

The barrage of bombs fired by criminals at Jhatpat Market claimed 23 innocent lives, most of them women and children.

The residents of Lyari lit candles outside Karachi Press Club in the memory of the victims on the 40th day of the tragedy in Lyari.

The gathering was addressed by Yousuf Masti Khan, Umar Lasi, Shahla Hassan and other political and social leaders, journalists and intellectuals.

The members of the bereaved families highlighted the need of peace in Lyari and revival of football, boxing and other sports activities in Lyari, the troubled neighborhood of Karachi.
